Local LAND Creative Writing Contest

Your college has its own process for selecting its two entries in each category. Consult your college instructor to learn what your local rules and deadlines are.

If you instructor is not familiar with the LAND Writing Contest, you may contact your college’s LAND representative for additional information.

Preparing your Submission

• Read the competition rules carefully.
• Prepare your manuscript(s) and transmittal form(s) accordingly.
• Submit these materials to your college instructor for consideration as your college’s entry.

Copyright

The student retains the copyright to the fiction, poem, or creative nonfiction submitted to the LAND writing competition. However, the student grants LAND the right to reproduce any submission on its website or any other LAND publication regardless of medium of publication.
